About CVPro: how our AI works and what it won't do
CVPro is an online tool that writes professional resumes with AI from a guided chat. This page explains, plainly, what the product does, how the AI works, the limits we set for it, and how we handle your information.
What CVPro is
A 14-question chat collects your real experience: where you worked, what you did, what you studied, which tools you use. From those answers the AI writes a resume in professional language, structures it so an applicant tracking system (ATS) can read it, and delivers it as a PDF in twenty templates plus a plain-text version.
It works in English and Spanish and is built for people looking for work in the United States and Latin America. Payment is one-time — from $4.99 — with no subscription and a 7-day guarantee. Higher plans add a cover letter, tailoring the resume to a specific job posting, and English-Spanish translation.
How the AI works (and why it doesn't invent)
Most AI resume builders share one problem: they produce achievements that sound good and that the candidate can't back up in an interview. CVPro is designed so that doesn't happen, in three steps:
1. You provide the facts
The chat asks about each job, its duties, and figures if you remember them. When something is missing, the AI asks instead of filling it in. A job you don't describe appears in the resume with title, company and dates only.
2. The AI writes with your words
The model turns your answers into professional sentences: action verbs, clear structure, no clichés. It is forbidden from adding employers, degrees, certifications, tools, clients or figures you didn't mention, and it must cite, for every bullet, the exact fragment of your answer it comes from.
3. An automated checker verifies every sentence
Before you see the resume, a deterministic program — not another AI — checks every bullet, the summary, skills, languages and dates against your literal answers. Anything without a source is removed or rewritten in your own words; scope adjectives you didn't state ("high-volume", "fast-paced") are stripped; language levels you didn't give are left blank. This checker is tested against dozens of real cases before every update.
The result is a more restrained resume than other builders produce. We consider that an advantage: everything in it is something you can defend in front of a recruiter.
What CVPro won't do
It won't invent experience
If you didn't say it, it shouldn't appear. If you spot an exception, tell us — it's a bug we fix first.
It won't guarantee "beating every ATS" or landing interviews
We apply good formatting and keyword practices, but every employer configures its system differently and the final decision is always human. Be wary of anyone promising otherwise.
It won't sell you empty templates or a subscription
The value is in the writing, not the design. You pay once for the resume you generate; there are no recurring charges.
It won't publish reviews or figures it can't back up
We don't show invented testimonials or "success" statistics. When we have verified customer reviews, we will publish them as received.
AI and data policy
- Model: your resume text is processed with the Anthropic (Claude) API. Under Anthropic's commercial policy, data sent through the API is not used to train its models.
- What we store: the generated resume and your email, linked to an 8-character recovery code so you can return to your resume from any device without creating an account.
- What we don't store: payment data. Checkout is handled by an external payment provider; your card never touches our servers.
- Deletion: you can request deletion of your resume and data by emailing hola@getcvpro.com.
- Site content: the resume examples by occupation are fictional profiles generated with CVPro and reviewed before publishing. Our guides don't include figures or studies we can't cite. If you find an error, email us and we'll correct it.

Who is behind it

Can CVPro's AI invent experience or skills?
It shouldn't, and it is built so it doesn't: every sentence in the resume has to be backed by something you wrote in the chat; if it isn't, it is removed or rewritten with your own words. If you ever find something you didn't say, email hola@getcvpro.com — we fix it and use the case to improve the system.
Does CVPro guarantee my resume will pass ATS filters?
No. No service can, because every employer uses a different system configured its own way. What we do is apply verifiable good practices: single column, standard headings, real text (not images), and the keywords you yourself provided.
Who reviews what the AI generates?
Two automated layers: the language model writes, and a deterministic checker verifies, sentence by sentence, that everything is sourced from your answers. You then review and edit the result before downloading. There is no human reviewer for each resume.
What happens to my data?
Your resume text is sent to the Anthropic (Claude) API to be written; Anthropic does not use that data to train its models. We store the resume and your email linked to a recovery code so you can come back to it. You can ask us to delete it by emailing hola@getcvpro.com. Details are in the privacy policy.
Are the resume examples on the site real people?
No. They are fictional profiles generated with CVPro to show how a resume is structured for each occupation. No example corresponds to a real customer.
