In dentistry, whoever is hiring — a private practice, a DSO, a community health center — needs three concrete things: which procedures you perform independently, your patient volume per day, and whether you have training in a specific area. A resume that lists only CE courses without stating what you do clinically reads like someone who trained a lot and practiced little.
Use them only where they are true for you: the filter searches for them, but the recruiter verifies them in the interview.

Your clinical rotations and any residency are real clinical experience: detail them with approximate patient numbers and procedures performed. Be precise and honest about autonomy level in each procedure; that honesty builds more trust than overstating. If you participated in community clinics or mission trips, include them — they demonstrate volume and working with limited resources. Invest early in hands-on training in a specific area (endo, implants, pediatric) because specialization opens better-paying practices. Note state license status and any additional states you are eligible in, and expect associate roles to start on production-based compensation.
